Zingy Lemon and Ginger Surprise is a delicious blend of zesty lemon grass and lemon peel matched with zingy ginger pieces, balanced perfectly by the liquorice for sweetness and the peppermint to cool, and finished with a little black pepper for extra warmth.

The ingredients in this infusion have many health benefits as well as tasting great!

The fruity lemon grass and lemon peel are known for being high in Vit. C besides harmonizing the flavours and bringing a little zest to the blend.

Ginger is known for its many health properties including its ability to help with queasiness and nausea. Ginger can also act as a mild expectorant and warm the body making it ideal for helping to ease cold symptoms.

The warming flavour of the ginger coupled with the black pepper is tamed and harmonised by the cooling peppermint. Peppermint can also help with nausea and bronchial problems due to the menthol content as well as helping to alleviate bloating and stomach cramps.

Zingy Lemon and Ginger Surprise is truly an exhilarating and healthy blend!

The dry infusion is a mixture of stems of lemon grass interspersed with chunks of ginger, lemon peel and liquorice combined with peppermint leaves and black pepper. The aroma is one of lemon with subtle ginger overtones. The slightly cloudy infusion is a golden yellow with a refreshing lemon aroma and the taste is lemony with a ginger warmth and a delicious sweet liquorice finish. The black pepper adds a subtle warm note to the ginger and the peppermint adds a harmonising cooling note. Completely free from added flavourings and sugar.

Delicious enough to be drunk on its own but it would also be good paired with zesty fruit desserts such as lemon meringue or especially delicious paired with rhubarb.

3 g / 1 heaped teaspoon to 200 ml of water at 100 c for a minimum of 5 minutes but preferably 10 minutes
