This beautiful, deep crimson infusion is loaded with Vit. C and antioxidants and is also known for its cholesterol lowering properties and its ability to calm and relax. It can be drunk hot or cold and for a delicious twist try adding mint, ginger, lemon grass or lemon peel; or to sweeten a generous dollop of honey!
The large crimson blooms of the hibiscus flower brew a deep, rich ruby-red colour and are accompanied by a tart and tangy aroma. The rich red liquor yields a zesty cranberry-like flavour with a smooth mouthfeel and sharp but satisfying aftertaste.
